Dog Grooming and Training Positively

Making Grooming Pawsitive!

I'm Lizi, Groomer (city and Guilds Level 3 and HGA), dog lover and a qualified IMDT trainer, Canine Coach and ISCP Diploma in Canine Behaviour. (amongst many other courses!)  I have 4 rescue dogs of my own (or rather they own me at times), Fyn, Kylie and Oddy and my elderly boy Banjo. I've fostered 15 dogs over the last few years as well, and I love furthering my knowledge in dog behaviour, training and coaching, as well as Grooming.

I became a groomer after noticing that one of my dogs just wasn't the same after he came home from the groomers. He wouldn't step foot in there again. I don't know what triggered his upset, but I do know that I will always make the experience positive. I don't ever want the feeling of doubt in myself that my own dog won't even go to the groomers. I qualified as a City & Guilds Level 3 Dog groomer over 5 years ago. Using positive reinforcement in training is crucial these days, why shouldn't that aply to grooming as well!

Training wise, i'm always learning, always got an assignement on the go and furthering my knowledge and ability. I absolutely love training, and am also a qualified Canine Coach and IMDT Trainer, Canine Body Language Specialist and a Canine Behaviour Pracitioner;  it all helps to understand the grooming process as well as now being able to apply this in a training situation as well. I am absolutely loving learning all the time - Dogs are our biggest teacher.

I'm fully insured and CRB checked and City & Guilds Qualified and I can ensure that your dog will be happy and we all see positive results. I specialise in nervous and rescue dogs and we'll make a plan together on how to tackle the different stages.
